SECOND AWARD

SIMPLE KARIMEEN CURRY
Karimeen also known as Pearl spot is
a very famous fish widely present in the backwaters of Kerala. This fish has
got very distinctive flavor and is very tender. Kappa and Karimeen is one of the
most famous Kerala delicacy
Ingredients
1.
Karimeen(pearls spot)-4nos
2.
Pearl onions-10nos,thinly sliced
3.
Green chilly-2 or 3
4.
Ginger-2tbsp julienned
5.
Garlic-4pods
6.
Chilly powder-1tbsp
7.
Kudampuli-1no
8.
Coconut milk-1 ½ cup
9.
Oil-2tbsp
10. Curry leaves
11. Salt
Method of preparation
1.
Wash kudampuli 3 times and soak in ¼
cup of water and salt for 10 minutes.
2.
Clean the fish .make few slits on
both sides.
3.
Heat oil in a wide pan. Add curry leaves,
ginger garlic and green chilly sauté for 2minutes.Add the onion stir for 2
minute. Now add the chilly powder. Stir well. Add the kudampuli and coconut milk.
Add salt.Let it boil. Add the fish in. Swirl the pan in order to cover the fish
with gravy. Let it cook for 8 minutes by covering the pan. Serve with appam or
rice
Notes: It is better to prepare the
curry in advance so that the flavors can set in. Take care not to overcook the
fish as it may result in crumbling of
the fish. You can substitute
kudampuli with some chopped tomatoes.

I am really excited to announce that I received

considering me for this.
Actually they passed me
this award few weeks back. But I couldn’t update it since i had been to Kerala for a month due to some urgent
family matters and i was sooo busy that I couldn’t even open my PC. Now I am
back to normal routine in my abode with lazy mornings ,cooking experiments , my
favorite activity blogging…
ok lets get in to the activity..there are some

- I am very friendly and very talkative.
- I am very short tempered. But i don’t keep any revenge in heart.
- I am very sensitive .even a very silly thing can make me desperate and sad for long time.
- I love travelling, always enthusiastic to taste the regional food.
- I can forgive things very easily.
- I love interacting with people
- I love reading but very specific..Not a voracious reader. But love visiting libraries and book shops
- I hate sports. Hate all activities involving much physical strain:)yes I am very lazy.
- I had a full time job…never interested in busy life so resigned .but now started feeling guilty of wasting my education so planning to be into job again:)
- I am into blogging to convince my relatives and friends that I can cook..yes its strange but its true. Even my parents never thought that I can cook something that is edible:)Still there are many who believe the pics in my blog are copied from some other site ..

so I lost my hope when I learnt that architecture is something that

Cooking. The thought of cleaning

my favorite activity of cooking too..
